The victims are identified as Ana Isabel Ruíz, 42 years old; Raziel Rafael Ruíz, 30 years old and Óscar Reyes, 51 years old.
“At the conclusion of the hearing, one of the victims informed a family member that they would be transferred to another place by people linked to their client and requested that, if they did not have communication in a short period of time, they notify the authorities,” indicated the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJ CDMX).
Based on the analysis of surveillance cameras and geolocation data, the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office found that Mario ‘N’ and Arturo ‘N’ traveled on the day of the disappearance on the same route and time as the victims on the Mexico-Toluca highway. With this evidence, a Public Ministry obtained arrest warrants against the subjects.
Agents of the Investigative Police (PDI) detained Arturo ‘N’ in Gustavo A. Madero, while Mario ‘N’ was apprehended after leaving a hearing at the North Prison.
“The CDMX Prosecutor’s Office reports that investigations continue to find the whereabouts of the victims, fully clarify the facts and arrest all the people who are responsible, through the use of intelligence tools, technical analysis and field work, with full respect for due process,” the agency indicated.
