At a distance, either by phone or internet, the pre-consultation will be carried out as well as the follow-up consultations and advice on contraceptive methods; while specialized medical care and response to medical emergencies will be provided in person.
“We are supporting this proposal in the guide of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Technical Guideline for Safe Abortion care in Mexico, of the federal government.
“It is about starting to bring services closer to women and people with the ability to gestate through technology,” Zaragoza said at the forum.
It will also be an information service on the interruption of pregnancy, said Enrique Plácido León, director of Medical Care of the Health Services of Mexico City.
“TeleILE is for all people to have access and be informed of the procedure, above all, what are the requirements to follow. On the virtual platform you will be able to consult about contraceptive methods, that is, services are brought closer to women”, added Plácido León.
