CDMX: Man killed in Polanco; authorities search for those responsible

According to official information, the victim was intercepted by armed men at the corner of Oliver Goldsmith and Carlos Dickens, a few meters from Lincoln Park, a place with a high flow of people and families, as well as the commercial corridor of Presidente Masaryk Avenue.

After firing the weapon at the victim at least three times, the attackers fled in an unknown direction.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security reported that paramedics who arrived at the site diagnosed the man, approximately 50 years old, with no vital signs due to a gunshot wound to the head.

The area was cordoned off and the Public Prosecutor’s Office was notified for the corresponding forensic services and investigations of the case.

Using C5 and private security cameras, the capital’s authorities are already following the trail of the attackers to identify them and also to determine whether the attack occurred on foot or whether a car or motorcycle was used to get around.

The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office has already begun work to identify the victim and has opened an investigation file for the crime of intentional homicide.
