As a security measure, eleven workers were evacuated from the place, located in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office.

Although the fire has already been controlled, firefighters continue with the cooling and removal of combustible material.

The authority reported that there is no report of people injured by the fire.

The fire was recorded on the second floor of the Plaza de la Tecnología.

Before, traffic policemen cut off circulation in Eje Central, at the height of José María Izazaga avenue, to prevent vehicles from approaching the fire zone.

Authorities of Mexico City asked citizens to circulate along Paseo de la Reforma, Insurgente avenue and Congreso de la Unión, to avoid the saturation of roads after the closure of Eje Central.

At 8:50 p.m. traffic was released at the Republic of El Salvador, after the fire was controlled.
