Senator Jorge Seif (PL-SC) said he recognized that PEC “brings important points”, but also “some exaggerations” that need correction, such as the secret vote and the extent of parliamentary immunity for party presidents with Congress seats.
“Our commitment is to ensure transparency to the work of Congress and, at the same time, protect conservative parliamentarians against political persecution. At CCJ, we will work to adjust the text and deliver to Brazil a balanced proposal that strengthens democracy without opening gaps for abuse,” said the senator of Santa Catarina.
