SANTIAGO.- A cattle rancher who had been missing for several days was found dead yesterday on a farm in the community of Jamao Afuera, in the municipality of Moca, in the province of Espaillat.
This is the rancher José Ventura Reyes, native of the Angelina municipal district, in the María Trinidad Sánchez province.
According to Ventura Reyes’ relatives, he left his home last Friday, the 13th of this month, heading to the Hermanas Mirabal province (Salcedo), where he was going to look for cattle.
The body of Ventura Reyes was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) in this city to determine the causes of his death.

The deceased was traveling in a Mitsubishi truck, which was found abandoned in Salcedo.
The police authorities and the Public Prosecutor’s Office of both Espaillat and Angelina are deepening the investigations to clarify the event.
