The body of the minor Hollman Ariel Gaitán, 7 years old, originally from Catarina, received a Christian burial on the morning of Tuesday, August 20. Dozens of Catarina residents gathered in the streets of that municipality, located in the department of Masaya, to accompany the family.
First, the people turned out to attend the funeral mass at the Santa Catalina de Alejadría de Catarina Parish, from where they then left for the municipal cemetery, where the remains of the minor will rest.
Hollman Ariel Gaitán, according to the official version of the National Police, was murdered on August 18 by his stepbrother Eduard Enrique Gaitán, who initially hit him on the head, covered his mouth so that his screams could not be heard and finally strangled him.
The confessed criminal has already been arrested by the National Police and is awaiting trial.

Students from Catarina showed solidarity with the family
Dozens of children, elementary and high school students, accompanied by teachers and parents, attended Hollman Ariel’s funeral, carrying white balloons in solidarity with the grieving family.
Some of the high school students even helped carry the coffin in which the minor’s body was being transported.
