The Vice Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies William Castillo denounced that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) does not deliver the resources of the Venezuelan people, but the fees are collected. The official’s words were offered during the 4th anniversary of the Anti-Blockade Law from the José Félix room Rivas of the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas.
“We have between 24 billion and 30 billion dollars blocked in the financial system, a very important part of these funds are liquid and are in 29 banks around the world, money from PDVSA, CVG, Conviasa and the National Development Bank, some of which are funds. from other public institutions,” Castillo added.
The IMF does not return the money
“We have our resources in the IMF that they do not deliver to us, but they do charge the fee, we have money from the Central Bank of Venezuela in an account of the United States Treasury Department; 342 million dollars were transferred from the Central Bank to the United States Treasury,” he explained.
He denounced that the United States Government has the Venezuelan money together with members of the extreme right in order to support the so-called “interim government.”
Along the same lines he expressed that “with that money the so-called interim government was paid, it is sustained and we do not know if after January 10 they will sustain this fiction of an illusory non-existent government that is going to be paid with the money of the Venezuelan people, which “It has been blocked and looted in the international financial system.”
For this reason, he said, the country must integrate into the financial systems of Iran, Russia and China. “They will never be able to steal a single currency from Venezuela,” he concluded.
