Castañeda: “It seems that the way they want to solve the pension issue is for people to die”

Dr. Fernando Castañedas in an interview with Radio Panama made a strong call to the authorities of the Social Security Fund and warned that something serious is happening with the supplies, since there is not even gauze to clean the wound, he also said that it seems that the CSS to solve the pension issue is for people to die.

“We as doctors have to make a call for attention, things are not well in the Social Security Fund, patients are suffering, they do not get appointments, it seems that the way they want to solve the pension issue is for people to die. because they are not receiving care,” said Castañedas

Regarding the controversy of the lack of medicines where the CSS authorities say that there are medicines, while the population considers that there are not enough, Castañedas believes that it is not being supplied as it is due to the CSS “the flow of information from the supply seems to be falsified information because if they have a pill in one of the lines they say they have it and since they have it they do not count it as a shortage, but that pill is only on Calle 17 but there are none in Santa Librada, in Juan Díaz, there are none in Betania, in Chorrera, in Chitré, but someone decided to say that if there was a box of pills on Calle 17, then the information they are giving is not consistent with the reality of the patients, nor with what we doctors prescribe.
