Caixa Econômica Federal paid on Wednesday (16) to April installment of the new Bolsa Familia to beneficiaries with final social registration number (NIS) 2.
The minimum amount corresponds to R $ 600, but with the new additional the average value of the benefit rises to R $ 668.73. According to the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, this month the Federal Government’s Income Transfer Program will reach 20.48 million families, with expense of R $ 13.66 billion.
In addition to the minimum benefit, there is a payment of three additional:
- The Nutriz Family Variable Benefit pays six installments of R $ 50 to mothers of babies up to six months of age, to ensure the child’s diet.
- Increase of R $ 50 to families with pregnant women and children from 7 to 18 years
- Increase of R $ 150 to families with children up to 6 years
In the traditional model of Bolsa Familia, payment occurs in the last ten business days of each month. The beneficiary can consult information about payment dates, the benefit amount and the composition of the installments in the Caixa application application, used to track the bank’s digital savings accounts.
Municipalities
The beneficiaries of 659 cities received payment on Tuesday (15), regardless of NIS. The measure benefited residents of Rio Grande do Sul, affected by floods from April to June, and from six more states, affected by rain or drought.
In addition to all 497 gaucho municipalities, the unified payment occurred in 169 cities of Piauí, 12 of São Paulo, 10 of Paraná, six from Roraima, three from Amazonas and two from Rio de Janeiro.

Insurance
Since last year, Bolsa Familia beneficiaries have no longer have the discount of the defense insurance. The change was established by Law 14.601/2023which rescued the Bolsa Familia (PBF) program.
Defense insurance is paid to people who survive exclusively from artisanal fishing and cannot perform the activity during the piracema period (fish reproduction).
Protection rule
About 3.05 million families are in the protection rule in April. In force since June 2023, this rule allows families whose members get employment and improve income receive 50% of the benefit they would be entitled to up to two years, provided that each member receives the equivalent of up to half a minimum wage.
For these families, the average benefit was R $ 366.77.
Gas
Gas aid will also be paid on Tuesday to families registered in the Federal Government’s Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico), with NIS Final 2. The amount rose to R $ 108 this month.
Lasting until the end of 2026, the program benefits 5.37 million families. With the approval of the constitutional amendment of the transition, at the end of 2022, the benefit was maintained 100% of the average price of the 13 kg cylinder.
It can only receive gas assistance those who are included in the cadunic and have at least one family member who receives the continued benefit (BPC) benefit. The law that created the program has defined that the woman responsible for the family will preference, as well as women victims of domestic violence.
