Jesús María Casal, president of the CP, said this Saturday that the diplomatic missions will be accompanying the October primaries. In addition, he reiterated that the primaries are a team effort to achieve a unitary candidate.
The president of the National Primary Commission (PC), Jesús María Casal, assured this Saturday, May 27, that the corresponding contacts have already been made for the observation of the primaries, scheduled to take place on October 22. He once again assured that the objective is “to offer transparency and generate trust, which is what is most needed in Venezuela, so that it is believed in the institutions.”
This was stated by Casal during an act of the Unitary Platform in which the Regional Primary Board was installed in the Capital District. In his speech, the president of the CP stressed that the primaries constitute “an exercise of constitutional rights” and indicated that with these arguments they have gone to the diplomatic representations in the country and achieved the accompaniment of these missions.

He insisted that the organization of the primaries is teamwork, since in his opinion it is the only way in which success can be achieved in the objectives set. “We have in our hands the banner of the unitary candidacy to win the presidential elections,” he added according to a press release.
Jesús María Casal affirmed that the pre-candidates who expressed their intention to participate in the process are willing to respect the results and support whoever wins. In this sense, he stressed that achieving respect among the applicants “was another great consensus” and that citizens do not want to see fights, but rather a union to get ahead.
He said that the request to the National Electoral Council (CNE) was reiterated to allow the use of the country’s voting centers to carry out the primaries.
For her part, the president of the Regional Board of Primary School in the Capital District, Professor Aura Torres, indicated that the bet is for all citizens to participate, “that they mobilize as much as today, I celebrate the great participation that we are going to have.”

During the activity in Caracas, the representation of the different political parties that make up the democratic alternative was registered, as well as social, union and community leaders who live in Caracas.
The regional board in Caracas of the National Primary Commission is made up of: Aura Torres, Gonzalo Contreras, Mariana Pereira, Jesús Terius, Jaime Lorenzo, Rosnell Carrasco, Rafael Zambrano, Luis Roberto Cabrera, Luis Evelio Chávez and Wilman Grandett.
