El Caribe

Brugal promotes clean energy.

Casa Brugal signed an agreement with ENSO, SRL, a company focused on photovoltaic generation projects, to further reduce the environmental impact of its operations in the Puerto Plata Liquor Complex.

Luis Vargas, director of Primary Production and Sustainability at Casa Brugal, assured that “this project is one more step in our commitment to sustainability and places us in a privileged position as an industry, in which sustainability is becoming increasingly important and where energy costs represent a central factor in the competitiveness of companies.

The Dominican Republic has excellent weather conditions and solar resources for photovoltaic self-consumption projects. “At Casa Brugal we work tirelessly to reduce our environmental impact and increasingly contribute to preserving the environments where we operate,” he said.
