Carrizo: “Today begins the road to victory in 2024”

After the Electoral Tribunal unofficially declared the victory of José Gabriel Carrizo in the primaries of the Democratic Revolutionary Party with more than 50% of the votes, earning himself the presidential standard-bearer for the PRD for the 2024 general elections, he addressed his supporters, summarizing the work of the government and what it proposes for the presidential elections.

For Carrizo, the government faced very difficult situations but they have been able to move forward «This government, chaired by Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, upheld dignity, work, decision and optimism. With that decision and with that unity we will continue building the best days for our Nation.”

“We were able to save lives, prevent massive layoffs and, above all, we were able to maintain social peace in Panama, because without social peace there is no political stability, no economic recovery, no new investments, no new jobs are created,” declared an effusive Carrizo to his followers.

He also said that he does not come to make promises but that his credentials are the work done: “I do not come to make promises, the credentials of the PRD are in the work done, in the return to the Torrijista method of working with the people, the domestic patrol represented in the Community Work Tours, in the commitment to the Bicentennial Pact.
Carrizo, with more than 190,000 votes, managed to easily surpass Crispiano Adames, who got more than 100,000 votes, and in third place, Pedro Miguel González, with just over 32,000 votes.
