The patient would have traveled from Lima to Huancayo, when he presented with fever, headache, generalized pain and skin rashes, he approached the Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital where he was evaluated and sent to home isolation due to the symptoms.
After a few days, the result of the sample sent to the National Institute of Health (INS) was positive. However, the health personnel approached the address detailed by the patient, confirming that he had given a false address. With the disease already confirmed, the patient would have continued with his work as a carrier, traveling from Huancayo to Lima and vice versa. After a thorough investigation and follow-up, the patient’s real address was identified and he is currently in isolation.

“It is a risk for the population that the person suspected of Monkeypox does not comply with isolation, they must be aware, because if they come into contact with another person, they can become infected,” emphasized the Director of Epidemiology of Diresa Junín, Ananí Basaldúa. Now , along with the first case of a 38-year-old man captured by Essalud, are in home isolation and stable.
Ananí Balsadúa pointed out that to prevent the disease, the mask must be used correctly, wash your hands with soap and water constantly, avoid contact with people who have a fever, body discomfort and skin rashes, avoid shaking hands and kissing on the cheek. .
