The senators of the Broad Front (FA) Charles Carrera Y Mario Bergara They asked the prosecutor Gabriela Fossati to summon the three ex-soldiers linked to the Vertical Skies company to testifyMario Panizza (director and CEO), Claudio Domínguez (Operations Director) and Marcelo Acuña (Risk Management Director).
Fossati is in charge of the case that investigates the inquiries of the former presidential custodian Alejandro Astesiano on both senators, after they Vertical Skies will ask Astesiano for “files” of the legislators.
“We made our request clear to the prosecutor: that the role of these ex-servicemen who are linked to Vertical Skies be investigated. We request that you summon them so that they can find out who requested the assembly of those personal folders to put pressure on Bergara and me”, Carrera said at a press conference after both appeared before Fossati.
Regarding their statements, Carrera reported that the prosecutor summoned them both and told them that they have the character of a victim according to the new Code of Criminal Procedure. “We will be able to access all the information that will be in the investigation folder and requested some information regarding this case,” he added.
Likewise, the prosecutor “transmitted reassurance” to them that “There is a commitment” from the Public Ministry to “work to get to the truth”he asserted.
