Carreira on the words of the Colombian Foreign Minister: “It offends us that they consider us part of Colombia”

The pre-candidate for the presidency for the free nomination, Francisco Carreira, considered offensive the words of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Álvaro Leyva, about Panama when referring to our country as a department of Colombia, he also referred to the law of extinction of domain that was approved in the first debate in the National Assembly.

Panama, through Chancellor Janaina Tewaney Mencomo, presented a formal protest against the way her Colombian counterpart expressed herself at a meeting in Washington.
