After a life full of challenges, this young Colombian makes her way into the Army with the dream of becoming an officer or non-commissioned officer, supporting her colleagues from her profession.

News Colombia.

Carolina Tintinago, a young Quindiana who grew up in a foster home of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF), has managed to turn her dreams into reality thanks to a history of effort, study and determination.

From her childhood in the ICBF to her recent entry into the National Army, Carolina is an example of resilience and service to the country. With training in psychology, the young woman decided to enlist in the ranks of the Eighth Brigade to, through her profession, contribute to the emotional and psychological well-being of her comrades in arms.

Upon receiving her at the institution, Colonel Servio Fernando Rosales Caicedo, commander of the Eighth Brigade of the National Army, gave her a warm welcome: “Be welcome to the family of the National Army, we welcome you and hope that through your bravery you will be able to fulfill that dream. “I so longed to be an officer or non-commissioned officer.”

These words marked the beginning of a new stage for Carolina, who since she was little dreamed of being part of the armed forces.

Psychologist in the Army

After graduating, Carolina began to get closer to her other dream: belonging to the Army. Thanks to an agreement with the Eighth Brigade, he was able to join the institution, where he performs functions related to his professional training, supporting his colleagues with psychological counseling and accompaniment in their personal processes.

“I now feel this as one more challenge than I have overcome in my life. I feel super happy and I can already imagine everything I am going to overcome and contribute from my knowledge,” said the young woman.

The psychologist of the Training and Retraining Battalion No. 8, Gerardo Andrés Duque Doncel, highlighted Carolina’s impact on her colleagues: “She can inspire many people to improve themselves. “She has always been very willing to provide her support and serve as the first support network.”

Carolina Tintinago, who describes this experience as “enriching,” is enthusiastically preparing to continue her training within the Army and advance her career, with the aspiration of becoming an officer or non-commissioned officer and serving her country in the military field.

This young woman, who overcame the obstacles of her childhood, now faces the challenge of establishing herself as a leader in the Army, demonstrating that dreams can be achieved with determination, discipline and a deep desire to serve.
