The City of São Paulo confirmed the forecast of 860 parades for the eight official days of Carnival in the city. The municipality accepted the registration of 767 blocks, which will begin the celebrations of Momo in the pre-Carnival, on February 22 and 23.
According to SPTuris, a municipal company responsible for organizing the party, it is the largest number of blocks already allowed since the city began to organize the celebrations, surpassing the 644 blocks registered in 2020.
The resumption after the pandemic had 475 registered in 2023 and 579 in 2024. The estimated revelers is 16 million people. Descriptions and block routes should be published in the coming days, in the Official Gazette of the City of São Paulo.
