Carmen Meléndez: "He won democracy and peace"

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, after being reelected in the municipal elections, dedicated her triumph to the eternal commander Hugo Chávez, and emphasized that in the capital of Venezuela, “he won democracy and peace.”

Meléndez took the opportunity to send greetings to international observers present during the electoral process and urged them to be “multipliers” of Venezuelan reality in their countries of origin, to deny external narratives. “You lived it, you can go to any neighborhood in Caracas and you will feel the heat of a solidarity town.”

The mayor also announced that all councilors and councilors of the ruling party achieved victory in Caracas, which considers a 100 %victory. He explained that these new officials will work on the streets to legislate with the town to build ordinances and make Caracas a “more beautiful, greener, more beautiful, more patriotic” city.

Meléndez also reiterates the commitment of his management with the seven transformations (7T) and the continuous improvement of the city, always under the guidance of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

Finally, he thanked the National Electoral Council (CNE), to the Armed Forces and the security agencies for the electoral day, which he described as “historical” and a “legacy for future generations.”
