Colombian singer-songwriter Carlos Vives has been appointed creative director of the non-fungible token (NFT) collection for the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards, reported the Latin Recording Academy (LARAS).
“I am looking forward to fans being able to enjoy this NFT broadcast and all of the amazing work created by artists from around the world who represent Latin music and its communities so well,” Carlos Vives said in a statement. winner of 15 Latin Grammys and nominated this year for five categories, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year.
“As part of an exclusive three-year partnership between La Academia Latina and OneOf, the NFT collection is intended to celebrate Latin music and its talented creators of graphic arts in the weeks leading up to the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards, which will take place on November 17 in Las Vegas”, indicated LARAS.
As creative director of the NFT collection, Vives aims to educate Latin music fans and spark a new wave of enthusiasm for Web3, the organization added.
Among the NFT artists who have been selected to participate in the creation of the collection are Jimena Buena Vida (Colombia), JN Silva (Venezuela), María Delgado (Nicaragua), Monaris (Puerto Rico), and Carlos Luna James (Mexico).
The first issue of this exclusive collection came out this November 9 and includes five gold and five platinum level NFTs with artwork from five Latino NFT artists, priced from $10 each.
The collection includes limited-edition apparel associated with digital tokens, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, other prizes, and chances to win a trip to Las Vegas.
