Carlos Smith: ‘The boys are growing up in contexts of violence in homes, schools and communities’

Violence has been reigning more and more in neighborhoods across the country, as recognized by the psychologist and executive director of the Fundación Espacio Creativo Links program, Carlos Smith, who said that violence is real and must be made visible.

He assured that the boys are growing up in contexts of violence at home, in schools and in the communities.

According to Smith, the critical factor that sometimes prevents children from attending Links programs is street violence and street sexual harassment. “The girls are afraid of reaching the foundation because in the street they suffer verbal harassment, they have even tried to touch them, violence is everywhere,” he stressed.
