Carlos Santana postpones his concerts on medical advice

Rocker Carlos Santana postponed his next six shows after collapsing onstage during a concert, temporarily stepping away from the stage “as a precaution for the artist’s health.”

The concerts in Noblesville, Indiana; Cincinnati, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Rogers, Arkansas; Dallas, Texas; and Woodlands, Texas, have been delayed, Michael Vrionis, Santana’s manager, said in a statement.

“Carlos is fine and eager to return to the stage soon. He just needs to rest,” he said.

“Doctors have recommended that he rest so that he can make a full recovery,” he said.

All shows planned from July 23 in Paso Robles, California through the end of 2022 are confirmed and will go ahead as scheduled.

The legendary guitarist was taken to a hospital last Tuesday after passing out from heat and dehydration while performing at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston.
