Carlos Portillo, former deputy for the Liberal Party (PLRA), stated that he wants to become a legislator again. For this purpose, he is campaigning to return to the Lower House for Efraín Alegre’s team.
“They took me out for a hallway gossip, my sin was mentioning Horacio Cartes. I will return with my head held high and helping people, which is what politics is for. I will be a deputy again, I am sure of that. I never left politics, I’m always working” he stated during an interview with 1020 AM, Ñanduti radio.
Portillo affirmed that he received the offer to be a candidate for senator. However, he prefers revenge in the Chamber of Deputies.
“I am accompanying Efraín Alegre for president of the Republic, Éver Villalba for senator and Óscar González Bracho, for candidate for governor of Alto Paraná,” he explained.
