The president of the National Association of Pig Farmers (Anapor), Carlos Pitty, referred this Friday to the closure of streets and demonstrations in various parts of the country, assuring that this situation has caused losses of close to $6 million in this sector and they ask protesters to clear the tracks.

Pitty alluded to these groups and the leaders that make up the single dialogue table, indicating that they are not nationalists and do not think of the benefit of the population. “The Panamanian is not from the left, the Panamanian does not like that system that he is seeing in other countries where life is increasingly difficult and now due to the strength and weakness of the government, they think they can change the social, political and economic system. of all Panamanians; you have to pay close attention to it. What they are fighting for is not a better quality of life, what they are fighting for is something else,” he said.

The president of Anapor stressed that price control is not a measure that works, so they demand that the government open the avenues and the transit book.

“We feel kidnapped with these closures, the people are kidnapped and this is not the Panama we are used to, these closures take away our urban rights and increase the cost of living,” he said.
