Director of Public Purchasing and Contracting, Carlos Pimentelpointed out today the aspects thrown by the investigation to the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency of the Republic (Propeep).
After several weeks of complaints of alleged irregularities in the program “Paint your neighborhood” developed by the propep Last Christmas, Pimentel indicated that they determined that the necessary motivation was not made to declare the process of urgency, as well as the link between suppliers.
“This process was through the emergency modality, from our point of view not justified, not exhausting the due process and the motivation strictly according to the mandate established by law, and the motivations strictly linked to Public Procurement were not established”, said.

Carlos Pimentelstated that in order to identify if the contract was actually received by Propeep, the report was sent to the Anti-Fraud Unit of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR).
