Carlos Espá vs. Rafael López Aliaga: "These are my anticuchos, anticuchos from the heart, not from pigs"

Carlos Espá vs. Rafael López Aliaga: "These are my anticuchos, anticuchos from the heart, not from pigs"

The electoral campaign continues to collect confrontations between candidates, a clear sign that the fight for the presidential seat has begun. In the last week, applicants like Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular), Enrique Valderrama (APRA) and César Acuña (APP) They have spoken out against their adversaries.

This time, Carlos Espá from the SíCreo party joins this group and seeks to be elected head of state in the next elections. The candidate made a video where he makes reference to politicians who are also running and have “political backpacks” on their shoulders.

“These are my anticuchos, anticuchos from the heart, not from pigs, all here, in sight,” he said at the beginning of the candidate’s video published on social networks and referring to the also presidential candidate Rafael López Aliaga, who calls himself colloquially by his followers “Porky”, a cartoon of a pig.

In addition, he attacked other applicants who are known to have been part of tax processes or involved with irregularities or crimes. He even mentioned the cases of clandestine meetings in which former President Pedro Castillo and current President José Jerí have been part.

“No hidden meetings, no police proceedings to attend to, no investigation for money laundering, no taxes to pay, no ghost companies, no heavy political backpacks to carry, that’s all, there is no second course, there is no hidden countermeasure, when things are done right there is not much to explain, what you see is what you get, respect, responsibility and commitment, that is what we offer,” he mentioned in his video.

PORKY VS KEIKO

On the morning of January 26, the leader of the orange party, Keiko Fujimori, attacked Rafael López Aliaga and accused him of being a person who has no proposals and is dedicated only to attacking. “One of the big differences between Mr. Rafael López Aliaga and the speaker is that he dedicates himself to attacking, to criticizing. For our part, the only thing they are going to listen to is listen to the citizens first and make concrete proposals to improve the quality of life of Peruvians,” said Keiko Fujimori.

At the same time, former mayor Lima had an event in which, in addition to campaigning politically, he presented his book: “Why does Rafael want to be president?” At the meeting, he reiterated that President José Jerí should leave office after the secret meetings he held with Chinese businessmen; and upon leaving it, he responded to Fujimori.

“I listen more than her, but I give proposals. Better not even respond to her, because I waste my time. I am giving concrete proposals. If she wants to endorse a Mr. Jerí, who, in our opinion, has done nothing, nothing for citizen security (…) I do not understand her position. If she wants to maintain that, let 13, 14, 15 people die per day. If she wants to be complicit in that, it is a problem,” López Aliaga responded.

ACUÑA VS VALDERRAMA

About two days ago, the candidate of the Peruvian Aprista party Enrique Valderrama publicly challenged the leader of Alianza Para el Progreso César Acuña to hold an in-person debate in the main square of Trujillo. The announcement was made during a rally in that city, where the Apra representative criticized Acuña’s management, especially on the issue of security.

Valderrama accused the leader of the Alliance for Progress of being directly responsible for the crisis that the region is going through, pointing out the increase in crime and the presence of organized gangs. Likewise, he questioned Acuña’s alleged strategy of sending “salaried spokespersons” to attack his candidacy instead of personally responding to questions about abandoned public works in the area.

The APRA candidate emphasized specific cases such as the Huanchaco highway, which he describes as an abandoned road and which highlights the “disastrous management” of the region. For the APRA candidate, “Acuña does not show his face, since he is responsible for the insecurity in Trujillo and what is happening in Pataz,” according to what he told Peru21.

César Acuña referred to Valderrama’s youth as a candidate and maintained that: “The expressions of the 38-year-old candidate seem (to indicate that) he is hot. He does not accept the defeat of 2006; the north is not from APRA, the north is from APP and the plaza is not the ideal place; remember that I have experience and he is young.”
