The ungrouped congressman Carlos Anderson don’t believe that the Ethics Commission go to sanction Eduardo Salhuanathe new president of the Board of Directors, for having hired a worker from the César Vallejo University Sports Club in his office.
For Anderson, this New controversy facing the president of Congress would have to be sanctioned, but the Ethics Commission is not the optimal working group to do so, since it is also made up of parliamentarians.
“No, I have no confidence. Zero confidence in the Ethics Commission. Look, the truth is, let’s be frank, the Ethics Commission is a failure. If we want, in some way, to guide the behavior of congressmen under ethical criteria, we have to have an entity outside of Congress,” he said in an interview on RPP.
Anderson considered that, instead of parliamentarians, who make up the Ethics Commissionthose in charge of sanctioning and investigating must be people with ‘moral authority’. He also criticised the work of this group for its lack of results.
“But that doesn’t happen in the Ethics Commission“We have seen case after case, blatant, of all kinds. They take forever. It all depends on how many votes they are negotiating, etc. And it hasn’t changed, the behavior remains the same,” he added.
Anderson questioned Salhuana’s response: “It was very strange”
In response, the journalist recalled that there is no autonomous entity that can replace the Ethics Commissionso Anderson had no alternative but to respond that said working group should take up the complaint.
For the non-grouped congressman, what should be questioned is the response given by the congressman Eduardo Salhuana when asked about this alleged irregular hiring.
Anderson said Salhuana will perform better than his predecessor, Alejandro Soto.
“It would have to go, of course, to Ethics; the case is very clear. The problem is in the response that Congressman Salhuana gives when he is interviewed, and he practically says that he does not know who he is, that it is not possible to investigate whether he works in his office. That was very strange, because, at the very least, one has to know who works in one’s office,” he commented.
Carlos Anderson acknowledged that, although the new head of the Board of Directors began his administration amidst several questions, he has greater ’emotional and political’ intelligence than Alejandro Soto, so he will know how to respond to all the accusations against him.
“I think Eduardo Salhuana is more intelligent, so he will go and respond. He also expresses himself better. But it is a problem of form, not substance,” he stressed.
Eduardo Salhuana was unable to respond to the hiring of a UCV club worker
A Panorama report uncovered a new complaint against Eduardo Salhuana, who in addition to being questioned for his links to illegal mining, must now also answer for having his office working Jamill Marzuka.
But what is the problem with the hiring of Jamill Marzuka? In addition to working in the legislature, he works as a marketing and communications advisor for the César Vallejo University Sports Club, owned by César Acuña, leader of the Alliance for Progress, Salhuana’s party.
When questioned by Jamil Marzuka, Salhuana avoided giving a clear answer: “I understand that he works for the APP bench, I would have to check.”
César Acuña is the leader of APP and owner of the UCV Club
