Cargo vehicle collision leaves one dead in Cojedes

A 38-year-old man identified as Oliver Alejandro Sánchez Salcedo died after a traffic accident in the Tinaquillo municipality of Cojedes state. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning on national trunk highway 005, a few meters from the Taguanes tollbooth.

According to a report from the entity’s fire department, Sánchez died from injuries after being crushed when the trailer of the other vehicle involved in the collision fell on him.

The deceased was accompanied by citizen Yuhani Velásquez, 35 years old, who suffered thoracic-abdominal trauma and was transferred to the Joaquina de Rotondaro hospital in the city of Tinaquillo.

The vehicles involved in the tragic accident were a white Ford truck, 2006, driven by the deceased. The other vehicle is a Mack brand trailer trailer, model BH613, year 1999, white, driven by Hilario Antonio Márquez Jiménez, 37 years old, who was unharmed.
