The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that this Saturday, January 4, 2025, the replacement of automatic transfer of the emergency power plant of the control center of the 27 de Febrero avenue tunnel.
The works are scheduled during the hours of 9:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon and will require the electrical disconnection of the medium voltage line, which will cause the tunnel, located between Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln avenues, to remain unlit during the established period.

Given this situation, the MOPC calls on citizens to drive with caution and moderation, reducing speed and turning on vehicle lights when crossing the tunnel. These measures are essential to ensure the safety of users while maintenance work is carried out.
The Ministerio thanks in advance for the understanding and collaboration of citizens in compliance with these temporary provisions, which seek to maintain the country’s road infrastructure in optimal conditions.
