Cardiovascular diseases, the first cause of death in Colombia

The burden of disease and mortality is growing, the number of people, families and communities affected is increasing and they are presented as a great obstacle to the achievement of the millennium goals in the fight against poverty.

“It is essential to prioritize timely diagnosis and adequate and permanent management, since it has been described that these diseases are one of the causes of poverty that hinder economic development throughout the world”, Martín Martínez, general manager of the Upjohn division of Pfizer, for the Andean Region and the Southern Cone.

  • Avoid long and stressful working hours
  • Perform outdoor activities, maintain contact with nature and strengthen family and social ties
