The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Institute (ICT) of the City of Health already has the first 26 hospitalized patients waiting for heart and lung surgical procedures.
There are currently 19 patients in cardiology (4 women and 15 men), 5 in pulmonology (1 woman and 4 men) and 2 in semi-intensive care.
After a tour of the ICT, Dr. Camilo Rodríguez, director of this executing unit, highlighted that patients are receiving personalized attention from nurses and specialists, who promote the development of a new management and care model in the CSS.
The doctor José Rodríguez, deputy director of the ICT, explained that the new, modern and spacious facilities have two beds and a bathroom per room, which provides more privacy and greater well-being to the insured.
The Social Security Fund (CSS) is carrying out the transfer of patients from the “Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid” to the City of Health, reiterated Dr. Luis Cornejo, medical director of the Clinical Hospital of CHDr.AAM
