During the lifting ceremony of the Anda of the Lord of the Miracles, carried out simultaneously in Lima and in various brotherhoods of the country and abroad, the archbishop of Lima reported that the Pontiff could not pronounce this weekend for previous commitments, but will send his greeting to the faithful on that date.

On the other hand, the Vatican announced that Leo XIV will publish on October 9 his first apostolic exhortation, entitled Dilexi Te (“I have loved you”). This pastoral document will address the issue of love for the poor, according to Vatican News.
The exhortation Dilexi is related to the last encyclical of Francisco, Dilexit Nos (“He loved us”), published in October 2024. With this text, Leo XIV seeks to continue the reflection of his predecessor on the love of Christ, reaffirming the Church’s commitment to the most needy.
