Valentin Carboni, Marseille midfielder suffered a sprain of the cruciate ligaments in his left knee during training for the Argentine national team and will undergo surgery in the coming days, as announced this Friday by the French club.
Carboni, 19, suffered the injury last Wednesday and after surgery “will follow an adapted care protocol,” Marseille added.

The club does not detail Carboni’s period of absence, although French media predict that it will last several months and could even miss the rest of the season.
Marseille simply said that they wish Carboni “a speedy recovery so that he can return to the field of play as quickly as possible.”
Newcomer to reinforced Marseille
Carboni He arrived on loan this season to Marseille from Inter Milan and until now he had participated in four Ligue 1 matches of the seven rounds played so far.
