About 350 people from organizations related to the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) left San Carlos, at 5:00 p.m. this Sunday, heading for the city of Santa Cruz. On foot, on motorcycles, They were seen leaving El Sujal in two Nissan Cóndor trucks and in white vans, without license plates. a community belonging to that Santa Cruz municipality.

They left launching diatribes against the governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho. The objective is, according to a police report, get to Buena Vista this Sunday night and then, on Monday, move to the city of Santa Cruz.

A group of at least 200 people spent the night on Saturday in a shed in El Sujal.

The measure is against the strike for the census in 2023 that the department of Santa Cruz executes. The extreme measure was decided in the massive council of September 30 where it was requested to repeal Supreme Decree 4760, which sets the date of the great national survey for 2024. As there was no response from the National Executive since October 22, an indefinite strike began.

In addition to the strike, the population has adopted other measures such as blocking roads, streets and avenues, as well as vigils at roundabouts in the Santa Cruz capital. Against these actions, the organizations related to the MAS press with ‘against blockades’.

In this way, since Wednesday they have surrounded the Santa Cruz capital with cuts in the main interdepartmental highwaysin addition to preventing the distribution of fuel and the transfer of garbage to the municipal landfill.
