“We call on everyone in Miami to join this concrete effort that exposes and opposes the inhumane results of the Washington blockade,” said a statement from the group released on March 17.
According to the schedule, the Miami caravan will kick off at 10:00 local time on March 27 at Tamiami Park along the service road off Coral Way and the SW 112th Avenue entrance.
Then they will travel nearby avenues with the message of rejection
the unilateral coercive measures applied by the United States to Cuba, the prohibition of remittances and the obstacles to family reunification, as well as the travel restrictions to the largest of the Antilles.
The extended day at the international level also advocates the resumption of flights from US territory to the different provinces of the island.
To date, the Joe Biden administration is trying to demobilize the solidarity movement with Cuba, the statement said.
They do so through “a series of test balloons about changing staff at their embassy in Havana and finding ways to send remittances that they will find acceptable as part of their ongoing economic war against the Cuban family,” he added.
“We denounce your hypocrisy by refusing to match your words with the facts when it comes to Cuba,” the text warned.
During his term, Republican Donald Trump (2017-2021) adopted 243 restrictive measures against Cuba that his Democratic successor Joe Biden remains in force.
