The carnivals in Caracas end with a tour of the colorful floats from the 22 parishes of the capital and La Guaira, in Los Próceres, accompanied by dance groups of traditional Venezuelan music, with the traditional comparsas and costumes.
During the Caracas 2023 Great International Tourist Parade, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, highlighted that these “have been the best carnivals, we are going to close these carnivals, with great joy” and “we will continue working with the communities.”
Likewise, Meléndez explained that the jury will rate the floats to reward the best proposals at these parties.

For his part, the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, stressed that they had been preparing for two weeks, with the development of community and children’s carnivals.

He explained that this year’s carnival edition was dedicated to the protection of boys and girls. So far, more than 1,500 activities have been carried out.
The authorities made the tour with the “Pana Bus”, a means of transport to promote tourism in the capital.
