The Caracas Metro will activate a temporary single track between the Agua Salud and La Hoyada stations “in order to guarantee the mobility of passengers and the passage of trains.” In addition, Metrobús lines will be activated between Plaza Sucre – Zona Rental and Agua Salud – La Hoyada.
The Caracas Metro reported on the afternoon of this Tuesday, October 4, in a statement, that it will not provide service at the Capitolio and Caño Amarillo stations between Thursday, October 6 and Sunday, October 9, due to high-impact works on the road.
The writing, posted on his Twitter accountexplained that the replacement of 270 linear meters of rails, 30 meters of bar of the third rail, as well as the replacement of 20 sleepers and the sanitation of five ballast points between these stations will be carried out.
For this reason, the Metro will activate a temporary single track between the Agua Salud and La Hoyada stations “in order to guarantee the mobility of passengers and the passage of trains.” In addition, Metrobús lines will be activated between Plaza Sucre – Rental Zone and Agua Salud – La Hoyada.
Metrobús routes will operate between 5:30 am and 11:00 pm. The Caracas Metro reiterated that these tasks are part of the “El Metro moves with you” plan, promoted by the Venezuelan ruler Nicolás Maduro to recover this transport service.

The “Metro moves with you” plan contemplates the repair of the rails, trains and stations through the “collaboration” of different ministries and public institutions.

Said plan also includes improvements in all the stations of the Metro system, including the repair of escalators, as well as guaranteeing safety. In just two months, more than 40 people have been arrested inside the Caracas Metro stations, for having arrest warrants or being requested for various crimes.
