In Caracas, 299 communes and communal circuits have received members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) as part of the day “The barracks go to the town”, convened by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, to strengthen the defense of the homeland, as reported by the mayor of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez.
Meléndez stressed that on this day the popular power is trained in the weapons system, they receive theoretical and practice formation on the management of the Nation’s Integral Defense Armament before imperial aggressions.
“Our people forming, here in Caracas, from the touch of Diana, there is the popular-military fusion, all integrated, a cohesion for the defense of the homeland. Before maximum pressure, we have maximum preparation, this is our people preparing,” he said.
For his part, the general commander of the Presidential Honor Guard, m/g Javier Marcano Tábata, described the day as “a historical moment that allows us to go to the depth of our people and say: here we are, as one more soldier.”
He also stressed that the union between the people and the FANB is the result of a historical tour of permanent combat, which has allowed the social and cultural evolution of the nation.
Similarly, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Nicolás Maduro Guerra, said that 20 years ago it was impossible to think of similar days, since the military doctrine was guided by the Empire. “Today, thanks to the Bolivarian military doctrine, we are united and merged to defend national sovereignty,” he said.
