Caracas commemorates this Saturday the 192 years of the sowing of the father of the country Simón Bolívar, who passed into eternity on December 17, 1830, and left his legacy and thought alive in each one of the Venezuelans, highlighted the mayoress of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Meléndez stressed that the Liberator was an “immortal man, son of Caracas, pride of our Homeland.”
On the occasion of the 192 years of the sowing of the Liberator Simón Bolívar held this Saturday an act in the Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, in which the authorities of the capital city honored the Father of the Nation.
“In the Plaza Bolívar in Caracas we remember the Father of the Nation, whose planting took place on December 17, 1830. His legacy, his thought, are still alive in us, Venezuelans. Immortal man, son of Caracas, pride of our Homeland,” the Mayor posted on Twitter.

“192 years after the passage to immortality of our Liberator Simón Bolívar, we reaffirm the libertarian spirit and his moral strength to continue with the construction of the Great Homeland and the consolidation of the life and peace of the Venezuelan people,” published the minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos, in his account on the social network Twitter.

For his part, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Madurothrough his Twitter account, stressed that the example of Simón Bolívar must be the north of each of the actions carried out in the name of the sovereignty and independence of the country.
“There is no small honor that we feel as sons and daughters of the giant of the Homeland, immortal Liberator, who did not abandon his greatness, not even in the last second of his existence. The Father of the Nation, Simón Bolívar, contributed decisively to the independence of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
Simón Bolívar died on December 17, 1830 in Colombia. In 1842 his remains were repatriated to Caracas from the Colombian city of Santa Marta, to the Cathedral of the Venezuelan capital, and in 1876, transferred to the National Pantheon.
