Official statistics indicate that 23 cases of covid-19 arrived in the country from five countries and 80 were reported from the community. Currently, 703 active cases are counted, of which 599 people are in home isolation
The Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, published in his social networks the statistics corresponding to the behavior of covid-19 in Venezuela during the day of Thursday, November 17, 2022, in which 103 new infections were recorded, of which 23 are “imported”.
The cases that arrived from abroad, and that were detected at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía by the health personnel who work there, did so from Panama (14), Dominican Republic (6), Spain (1), Iran (1) and Mexico (1).
While the 80 community cases of covid-19 were reported in 17 of the 24 federal entities in the country, Carabobo being the one that reported the most new infections, counting 12 in seven of its 14 municipalities: Valencia (6), Puerto Cabello (1 ), Montalbán (1), Libertador (1), Juan José Mora (1), Guacara (1) and Carlos Arvelo (1).
Carabobo was followed by the Capital District (11), Zulia (8), Miranda (7), Aragua (7), Mérida (5), Yaracuy (5), Vargas (5), Trujillo (3), Falcón (3), Lara (3), Sucre (3), Portuguesa (3), Barinas (2), Nueva Esparta (1), Anzoátegui (1) and Apure (1).
The states of Táchira, Cojedes, Guárico, Amazonas, Bolívar, Monagas and Delta Amacuro were left out.

The information published by Ñáñez on the day of November 17, 2022 slightly increased the total number of covid-19 cases that Venezuela reports daily. In this sense, 977 days after the detection of the first infections on March 13, 2020, a total of 546,637 and 540,109 recovered patients are reported, which according to official data represents 99% overcoming the disease.
Currently, there are 703 active cases of covid-19 in the country according to the figures released by the authorities, of which 31 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 40 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 33 in private clinics and 599 people who are in home isolation or “supervised community care”.
Of the total of 703 active cases of the virus registered in the country, 441 are due to asymptomatic patients; 136 to those with mild respiratory failure; 76 with moderate breathing problems and 50 who are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units due to the complexity of their symptoms due to covid-19.
Minister Freddy Ñáñez indicated that on Thursday, November 17, 2022, no new deaths were registered as a result of covid-19, so the number of deaths remained stable at 5,825.
