Carabineros de Chile reported on Tuesday that up to February 12, 11,839 safe-conducts have been delivered for the purchase of fuel in the nine regions with a red, yellow or early preventive forest alert.
It should be noted that on January 7 and -particularly in Valparaíso, the Metropolitan Region, O’Higgins, Maule, Ñuble, Biobío, La Araucanía, Los Ríos and Los Lagos- the direct sale of these products was prohibited.
The foregoing, due to the forest fires that have devastated 425,000 hectares of the south-central zone of our country.
The document can be requested in person at any police station in the country and on the virtual police station website, entering with the Unique Code.
There you must indicate the address of the service center and who is carrying out the process, the reason for the purchase, the type of fuel, the quantity and the place where the drums will be taken.
It is important to mention that to refuel cars, a safe-conduct is not required.
