Colonel Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Prefect of Traffic and Roads of Police, made a balance until midnight this Friday, September 16, pointing out that more than 305,000 vehicles have been counted out of the RM.
The police official confirmed that 36,147 inspections have been carried out throughout Chile, registering 365 traffic accidents at the national level, with 12 people killed and 274 people injured.
Meanwhile, 143 people have been arrested for driving with alcohol intake, 31 for driving with drug use and more than 9,000 alcohol tests have been carried out.
Colonel Rodríguez said that the massive departure of vehicles “has meant a greater effort on the part of the institution and by other government entities, in the sense of being able to increase control.”
