The Attorney General of the Nation, Javier Caraballo, confirmed that they sent Panamanian superior prosecutors Adecio Mojica, Ruth Morcillo, Zuleyka Moore and Nahaniel Murgas on vacation.

“Indeed, yesterday we made the administrative decision,” said the attorney when asked about it.

These authorities were mentioned in a complaint filed by the former Minister of Education, Lucy Molinar, in recent days, for alleged simulation of a punishable act and slander in legal proceedings and other crimes.

“We have to act as required by law, in a transparent manner, in the face of the complaint presented. This transparency was what led us to make the administrative decision to send these prosecutors on vacation, this without implying an advance of criteria with regarding the criminal investigation, “Caraballo explained.

He also assured that the complaint filed by the former Minister of Education will initially be taken by the Attorney General’s Office, due to the hierarchy of some of the accused.
