One person died completely burned and three others were injured, after a head-on collision between two vehicles on the highway Pan American Highway north.
The accident occurred at 4:25 a.m. yesterday, Saturday, at kilometer 950 of the Panamericana Norte highway (Piura-Chiclayo highway), in the jurisdiction of the Bernal district, Sechura province, in Piura.
The head-on collision occurred between a bus with license plate T5T-957, a silver Mercedes Benz brand, driven by Eladio Aredo Rodríguez (47 years old) from Trujillo, and a car, whose driver died completely burned, after both vehicles caught fire in a few seconds, without anyone being able to do anything to control the fire.

Alex Valdiviezo Zavaleta (24 years old) and Meryl Sthefania (24 years old) were also on the bus. All three were coming from the city of Trujillo to Piura.
The three injured were assisted by personnel from the Highway Police, who transferred them to the nearest emergency center to be treated for their injuries resulting from the crash.
Personnel from the Traffic Accident Prevention and Investigation Unit (UPIAT) and the Bernal police station arrived at the scene to begin investigations into the case and determine the cause and those responsible for this fatal traffic accident.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor on duty, Juan Carlos Jara Luna, from the Provincial Deputy Prosecutor’s Office of Sechura, ordered that the charred remains of the driver of the car be transferred and interned at the morgue of the Institute of Legal Medicine of Piura.
It was also ordered that the bus driver be tested for alcohol.
It was learned that a series of tests will be carried out to determine the identification of the deceased.
At the time of this edition’s closing, the driver’s body had not yet been identified.
