A new blow to the structure of the Clan del Golfo dealt in the last hours the authorities in North of Santanderwhen two of its members were captured.
In the midst of a military operation and in coordination with uniformed officers of the Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta, aliases are apprehended Lobo or Lizard and alias Palillo or Pirulo, two alleged members of the ‘Gulf clan’ with criminal interference in the capital of Norte de Santander.

“These two subjects developed extortion and were part of the logisticsbeing the same ones that provided the inputs for the processing of the alkaloids and also of the armed structure of the narco-terrorists of the ‘clan del golfo’ in Norte de Santander” said General Omar Esteban Sepulveda CarvajalCommander of the Second Division of the National Army.
He added that “this shows that this structure has been hit in a blunt way here in all operations, especially in the framework of the Sparta military and police operation, and this is part of the result of our actions against illegal groups”.

According to intelligence information, alias Lobo or Lagarto would be the alleged financial leader of the criminal group with interference in the rural area of Cúcuta, and alias Palillo or Pirulo would be part of this group and would be one of his trusted men.
