The Cicpc reported on the capture of Winder José Valencia Briceño (31), nicknamed Tatto, for murder in frustration against two young men of 22 and 29 years of age.
According to the report published by the scientific police, the violent episode occurred in the Los Mangos sector, La Vega parish, Bolivariano Libertador municipality, Caracas, when Winder was on a motorcycle, along with another man to be arrested, and he drew a firearm and attacked the victims at the time when they were in a family room.
After the attack, the injured were taken to the Dr Miguel Pérez Carreño Hospital, where they underwent surgery. The 29-year-old man is out of danger, while the 22-year-old woman is under medical observation, due to the severity of the injuries, says the Cicpc.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that Winder had long-standing problems with a cousin of the injured woman, swearing to take revenge on them.
In another event, the 1st Trial Court in Matters of Violence Against Women of Trujillo sentenced Francisco Hernández Leal (37) to 20 years in prison for his responsibility in the frustrated femicide against his former romantic partner, which occurred on June 12, 2023 on La Perra hill, Valera.
The woman had broken up with Hernández, so he injured her with a knife, leaving her six wounds, the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
