The Cicpc reported the capture of Leonardo Alfonzo González Figuera (19), accused of murdering his former partner Karliany Del Valle Quijada González (27) with a knife.
According to the scientific police report, the femicide occurred in the town of Santa Ana, Gómez municipality, Nueva Esparta.
On the day of the event, Leonardo approached Karliany to demand that he break the sentimental relationship. She replied that she had another partner. The response did not please Leonardo who took out a machete and inflicted several wounds on the girl that caused her death, according to the Cicpc report.
Leonardo’s arrest occurred in the same sector where the bloody event occurred. The agents seized the knife used in the murder. The detainee was handed over to the 13th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
