Officials from the Cicpc-Calabozo (Guárico) arrested Félix Arturo Navarrete (37), accused of being responsible for the murder of his partner Mariluz Venales Marcano Trinidad (43).
This crime occurred at dawn on April 24 at the couple’s residence located in the Vicario IV sector, Calabozo, Guárico, as reported on Instagram by the scientific police.
The couple argued and in the heat of the conflict, the man subdued her and strangled her to death in front of her two children, ages 4 and 10. Apparently the subject claimed an alleged infidelity.
Navarrete was hiding in the bush for several days, until he was captured two days ago by Cicpc agents whom he tried to attack with a knife, according to the report.
Mariluz was a worker at the Cecilia Acosta de Viana School that works in Calabozo.
