Officials of the Bolivarian National Police (GNP) detained a man in the San Andrés neighborhood, El Valle, Libertador municipality, Caracas and seized war material from him.
The information was released by General Elio Estrada Paredesdirector of the PNB through his Instagram account, who specified that the man was captured in flagrante delicto by members of the Strategic Vehicular Patrol Division.
During the procedure, the uniformed officers seized 87 ammunition, 20 of them that fit rifles.
They also seized two 9 mm caliber HK magazines, a firearm sound suppressor (silencer), a black rifle butt, and a vest lining.
The Public Ministry was notified of the procedure.
Meanwhile, PNB officials continue the saturation operation begun on Tuesday aimed at dismantling the Jonaiker Cara Cortada group, whose followers are known by the nicknames El Stuart and El Dubai.
These individuals organized a stoppage of public transport last Wednesday that goes up to the El 70 neighborhood, in the upper part of El Valle, as a way of protesting against the police deployment that the PNB continuously carries out.
The subjects do not want the presence of the police in order to exercise direct control over the merchants in the sector to whom they charge vaccines as well as the sale of drugs, according to investigations.
This Thursday the yipses that go up La Cajigal to El 70, El 70, La Ceibita, El Tamarindo among other sectors, worked normally, according to testimonies.
