Dairy allege that entrepreneurs from the Parish Pedro Briceño Méndez, pay the product well below other municipalities in Barinas and that the payment is insufficient to cover the production expenses
Capitanejo milk producers, Pedro Parish Briceño MéndezEzequiel Zamora municipality, Barinas State, demand from the competent authorities the review of the rates that the entrepreneurs in the area cancel for the product.
According to a group of small producers affected, since December 2024, receivers owners set the price of liter to 0.37 cents, at the door of Corral; However, in other parishes of the same municipality, for example, producers sell to a minimum of 0.40 cents.
They claim that with such a low pay they do not cover the investment to produce a liter of milk, since inputs such as salt, molasses, vaccines and others, exceed what they get for milk and consider that far from obtaining some gain, they are working on loss.

Farmers reiterate that the entrepreneurs of that parish have refused to pay just for their work and comment that, «if they pay us in summer that misery, when it costs more to produce a liter of milk, we do not want to imagine how much they will go to pay in the rainy season, that animals produce more milk ».
The producers insist that the authorities that are responsible for regulating the price of milk and cheese must review what happens in Capitanejo, capital of the Parish Pedro Briceño Méndez, since it is not justified that in other parishes such as Santa Lucía, in The Barinas municipality, these are the prices paid by milk at the door:
-VACA: Between $ 0.50 and $ 0.52 $
-Bufala: between $ 0.65 $, and $ 0.70 $
-What: between $ 3 $ 3.2 $
All at the rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
